Menlo Park, Calif., April 25, 2022 — Hakimo, a venture-backed company dedicated to modernizing physical security through its AI software which holistically manages enterprise physical security operations, has expanded its executive management team with the addition of Sarah Semerjian as head of marketing.
Semerjian is a proven security industry marketing leader who joins Hakimo with more than 15 years of experience with several top physical security technology companies where she has been instrumental in building brands, bringing products to market and driving rapid business growth. Most recently, she was a member of the executive team at LenelS2 after joining the company as part of the acquisition of S2 Security.
“Joining Hakimo is a very exciting opportunity,” said Semerjian. “The company’s AI technology solves real problems for enterprise security teams, and I look forward to helping to drive market adoption.”
The addition of Semerjian is part of Hakimo’s growth strategy as it expands its market reach for its AI software. Since its founding, the company has quickly built a name for itself in the security industry, with its AI software recently winning a pair of 2022 SIA New Products and Solutions (NPS) Awards – the prestigious Judges’ Choice award and winner in the Commercial Monitoring Solutions category.
Hakimo’s AI software operates much like an AI assistant for monitoring teams and global security operations centers (GSOCs). In addition to eliminating false alarms and operator fatigue, its algorithms analyze alarms across time and diagnose faulty hardware, such as door sensors, and can identify anomalous cardholder behavior, providing data-driven insights to security teams. Hakimo also provides a comprehensive solution to monitoring piggybacking and tailgating, which is a common problem in every enterprise.
“The addition of Sarah provides Hakimo with the building blocks we need as we take Hakimo to the next level,” said Samuel Joseph, co-founder and chief executive officer of Hakimo. “She brings to Hakimo valuable experience with other physical security software companies that have grown to become leaders in this industry, and we are thrilled to have her on board.”
